Guest Experience Host

We’re seeking Guest Experience Hosts to join our team! The ideal candidates enjoy interacting with people, are passionate about experiential art, and they understand what’s happening in the world of psychedelics (or are eager to learn about it, and learn quickly). They are organized, reliable, and excellent communicators. Guest Experience Hosts are the frontline of the exhibition; it’s important that they be engaging, knowledgeable, and kind.

We’re building an exceptional team of Hosts to be onsite at the venue during operating hours. Because of the nature of our operating hours, which include evenings and weekends. Hosts will report to our General Managers, who will coordinate scheduling to ensure we have adequate staffing at all times.

Some key aspects of the role:

  • Hosts will be positioned at assigned locations throughout the venue, to help manage the flow of guests and be ready to engage with them, answer any questions, and generally ensure they are having a great experience.

  • Hosts may also be required to monitor particular art pieces and installations, ensuring smooth functionality.

  • If and when issues arise, Hosts will work closely with each other, the General Manager, the Technical Director and security staff to help resolve issues quietly and efficiently.

  • Hosts will monitor daily operations and look for ways to improve the guest experience, sharing any feedback or insights with the General Manager.

  • Hosts should always be prepared for the unexpected! Situations may arise that we haven’t planned for, requiring time and attention not necessarily articulated in the job description. We’re looking for team players who appreciate the spirit of this project, who want to jump in and be part of something special.

Term We’re looking to fill these positions by September 29th, 2022, with training and integration into the project beginning immediately. The exhibition will operate Wednesday to Sunday throughout the fall. The Guest Experience Hosts are not required to be onsite during all operating hours, but should have flexible schedules that can accommodate some evening and weekend shifts. The exhibition is currently scheduled to run from October to December, 2022.
